Playboi Carti Fortnite Skin: 19 Shop Days, Last Seen 12 July 2026
Playboi Carti and King Vamp Carti entered the Item Shop on 11 December 2025 at 1,500 V-Bucks each, were listed on fourteen days to 7 March 2026, then returned as single-outfit bundles from 8 to 12 July 2026. The release record, the EVIL J0RDAN jam track and why "vaulted" is a temporary word.

The Playboi Carti Fortnite skin is a pair of Icon Series outfits — Playboi Carti and King Vamp Carti, 1,500 V-Bucks each — that entered the Item Shop at the 11 December 2025 reset (7 PM ET; 12 December UTC on fnbr.co), were listed on fourteen days across two windows to 7 March 2026, then returned as single-outfit bundles from 8 to 12 July 2026, per fnbr.co read on 20 October 2026. Among the winter 2025 Icon Series releases it has the shortest shop record, which is why it has a dossier and a ledger entry rather than a footnote.
What the two outfits are
Playboi Carti (catalogue id Character_SummitReedGrit, in-game description "Sorry to keep you waitiing." — the misspelling is Epic's) and King Vamp Carti (Character_SummitReedMolt, "Bow to the king vamp.") were added to the fortnite-api.com catalogue on 11 December 2025 and introduced in Chapter 7 Season 1. Both carry the Icon Series rarity and belong to the Playboi Carti set. The collaboration was announced as the next Icon Series addition in early December 2025 alongside a jam track for the artist's single EVIL J0RDAN.

Release date and prices
The shop listing went live at the 11 December 2025 reset, about 7 PM ET. Prices per fnbr.co: Playboi Carti 1,500 V-Bucks; King Vamp Carti 1,500 V-Bucks. Pre-release reporting on 10 December 2025 gave the bundle at 2,500 V-Bucks and the EVIL J0RDAN jam track at 500, with the usual expectation of a back bling, pickaxe, emote or wrap; the archive has verified the outfit prices against the shop tracker but not the bundle price after launch, and says so rather than rounding a guess into a fact.
At US V-Bucks pack prices since 19 March 2026, a 1,500-V-Buck outfit is about $18 as two 800-V-Buck packs or part of the $22.99 pack of 2,400. V-Bucks cards from Eneba, CDKeys or Kinguin (affiliate links; the archive may earn a commission) are the only third-party route this site links — and only useful once the outfit is back.
The shop record: three windows, nineteen days
fnbr.co lists fourteen occurrences on each outfit's own page. The launch window ran through late December 2025, with 27 December 2025 the last day of it; a second window opened on 1 March 2026 and closed on 7 March 2026. A third window, 8 to 12 July 2026, shows only on fnbr.co's bundle pages, because each outfit was sold as a single-outfit bundle at 1,500 V-Bucks. For context on the same winter: Kim Kardashian's outfits, released two days later, have had 40 shop days and were listed as recently as 12 October 2026; Kai Cenat's AMP KAI style has had 28. Carti's nineteen is the shortest record of the three by a wide margin.
The rarest Fortnite skins ranking lists the outfit under "Recently returned (off the list)" because of its July 2026 bundle window, while Travis Scott and Chromatica Armor Gaga stay among its longest-vaulted shop skins. The ranking is explicit that every shop outfit can return without notice.
Can the Playboi Carti skin come back?
Yes, and it already has once. Epic's 7 August 2024 exclusivity rule covers Battle Pass rewards before Chapter 5 Season 4 and nothing else; an Icon Series outfit is an Item Shop item that Epic can relist whenever it and the licensor choose, as it did from 8 to 12 July 2026. The archive has no information about the licence's status either way. The only honest reading of any gap is that the outfit is out of the shop for now, and "for now" has no expiry date.
What the archive can say is what the record of similar outfits shows. Chromatica Armor Gaga went 83 shop days in fourteen months, then stopped in April 2025 and has not returned; Chun-Li went quiet for nearly three years and came back in 2025. Absences of four months, two years and six years all exist in the Icon and Gaming Legends record, and none of them was announced in advance.
Styles and what owners hold
Playboi Carti and King Vamp Carti are separate outfits, each with in-game style options; owning one does not grant the other. No owner-only style exists on record as of 9 September 2026. Buyers in December 2025 and March 2026 received identical items.
The winter 2025 Icon Series cohort
Four Icon Series outfits entered the catalogue within eight weeks of one another, and their diverging records are the clearest demonstration in the archive of why release date predicts nothing. Playboi Carti was added on 11 December 2025; Kim Kardashian and Iconic Kim Kardashian on 12 December 2025; IShowSpeed on 25 December 2025; Chappell Roan on 5 February 2026. By 20 October 2026 the Kim Kardashian outfits had 40 shop days and an October window, while Carti had 19, the last five of them as bundles in July. Same series, same season, same price band, and the only way to know which one is currently buyable is to read the date.
The catalogue counted 160 outfits with the Icon Series rarity on 9 September 2026, from Marshmello in February 2019 onward. Their rotation is decided outfit by outfit, licence by licence, and the archive tracks only the ones whose records are unusual — a four-month silence was unusual enough to file, and the July 2026 return showed how quickly such a file can close.
In the archive
Playboi Carti is entry No. 011 on the ledger, filed as "in rotation" since its July 2026 return. The nearest comparison in the archive is the Lady Gaga dossier — an Icon Series outfit that has been absent since 16 April 2025 — and the contrast case is the Kim Kardashian dossier, released the same week and rotating far more often. Same season, same series, very different records, which is the archive's standing argument for dates over adjectives.
Inquiries
When did the Playboi Carti skin come out in Fortnite?
At the Item Shop reset on 11 December 2025, about 7 PM ET (12 December UTC on fnbr.co), with two outfits — Playboi Carti and King Vamp Carti — at 1,500 V-Bucks each.
How much is the Playboi Carti skin?
1,500 V-Bucks per outfit, per fnbr.co. Pre-release reporting gave the bundle at 2,500 V-Bucks and the EVIL J0RDAN jam track at 500; the archive did not re-verify the bundle price after launch.
When was the Playboi Carti skin last in the shop?
12 July 2026, at the end of a five-day window from 8 July in which each outfit was sold as a single-outfit bundle at 1,500 V-Bucks, per fnbr.co read on 20 October 2026. The outfit pages themselves list fourteen shop days, the last on 7 March 2026.
Is the Playboi Carti skin coming back?
It already has once, from 8 to 12 July 2026, and it can again: it is an Item Shop outfit with no exclusivity rule attached. No further return has been announced.
Is the Playboi Carti skin rare?
Not by the archive's standard. It is often out of the shop, which is different from rare: Battle Pass rewards like Black Knight can never return, whereas this outfit could be relisted at any reset.

Can Rare Fortnite Skins Come Back? Epic's Rules, the OG Shop and the Account Question
Three different rules decide whether a rare outfit can return — one for Battle Pass rewards since 7 August 2024, one for everything in the Item Shop, none at all for promotional exclusives — plus the OG Season Shop precedent and Epic's terms on account sales.
