The Travis Scott Fortnite skin was sold for 1,500 V-Bucks in the Item Shop on six consecutive days, 22 to 27 April 2020, and has not been listed since — 2,326 days as of 9 September 2026, per fnbr.co's shop history. It is the most-searched outfit in this archive and the one about which the most confident nonsense is written, so this dossier sticks to the record: what the outfit is, what surrounded it, what rule governs its return and why the dates people quote for that return are not Epic's.

What the Travis Scott skin is

It is an Icon Series outfit of the rapper, released in Chapter 2 Season 2 as the centrepiece of the Astronomical event, with the in-game description "La Flame". The fortnite-api.com catalogue lists it under the id CID_703_Athena_Commando_M_Cyclone, added on 21 April 2020, Icon Series rarity, part of the Travis Scott set. In the shop it cost 1,500 V-Bucks on its own and came with a bundle of Cyclone-themed cosmetics; the set name, Cyclone, is the one collectors use.

The outfit had a reactive element — it grew in scale during the concert's giant-Travis sequence — and later Icon Series outfits copied the idea of a stage-linked cosmetic. What none of them copied was the window. Kim Kardashian's outfits have had 40 shop days since December 2025; Ninja's has had 105 since January 2020. Travis Scott's had six.

The six days, exactly

The shop history on fnbr.co lists 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 April 2020, and nothing else. That aligns with the event: Astronomical premiered at 7 PM ET on Thursday 23 April 2020, ran four more times across time zones through 25 April, and the outfit left the shop two days after the last show. Epic's own figure for the premiere was 12.3 million concurrent players, an all-time record at the time; across the five shows, 27.7 million unique players took part. The previous record, 10.7 million, belonged to Marshmello's show of February 2019.

The count that matters for rarity is the gap, not the peak. From 27 April 2020 to 9 September 2026 is 2,326 days. For comparison, Chromatica Armor Gaga has been absent 511 days; Playboi Carti, once listed beside it, was back in the shop as single-outfit bundles from 8 to 12 July 2026. The rarest Fortnite skins ranking lists Travis Scott among its "Longest-vaulted shop skins" for that reason and no other, behind older closures such as Rogue Agent and Reflex.

Can the Travis Scott skin come back?

Yes, under the rules as they stand, and no date exists. The outfit is an Item Shop item, not a Battle Pass reward, so Epic's 7 August 2024 policy — which fixes exclusivity for passes before Chapter 5 Season 4 — does not apply to it. Item Shop outfits can be relisted at any time, and licensed ones return whenever the rights holder and Epic agree; Chun-Li came back in 2025 after a gap of nearly three years, and Marshmello has had 59 shop days. Nothing structural stops Travis Scott.

What has actually happened is silence. Reports in late 2024 that the outfit's shop data had been reactivated in the game files led to talk of a 2025 return; 2025 came and went without a listing, and Chapter 7 Season 4, which began on 20 August 2026, has not listed it either. The only dated window in circulation, early 2027, is tied to speculation about a Fortnite OG rerun of Chapter 2 Season 2, and it is unofficial. The archive's position is the dull one: the outfit can return, nobody outside Epic knows when, and any page giving you a date is guessing.

Why the "value" figures are meaningless

Every dollar figure attached to this outfit comes from account listings, and an Epic account cannot legitimately be sold. Epic's help centre states that accounts are personal and non-transferable and that buying, selling or sharing one violates the terms of service; its competitive rules add that playing tournaments on a transferred account is a violation in itself. Enforcement is not theoretical — a case reported on 20 December 2025 ended with the seller permanently banned and paying a settlement. A locker "worth" a figure on a resale site is a locker that will be banned when it changes hands.

The archive therefore records only what the outfit cost: 1,500 V-Bucks, which at US pack prices since 19 March 2026 is about $17.98 as two 800-V-Buck packs, or part of the $22.99 pack that gives 2,400. If the outfit ever returns, that is what it will cost again, and V-Bucks gift cards from Eneba, CDKeys or Kinguin (affiliate links; the archive may earn a commission) are the only third-party route this site links.

Owners, styles and what to check in your locker

If the outfit is in your locker, it arrived between 22 and 27 April 2020 and nothing since has changed that. There is no OG-style equivalent to the one Renegade Raider owners received in 2025 — the archive has found no announcement of an owner-only variant for Travis Scott, and the catalogue lists no such variant as of 9 September 2026. The reactive scaling remains a property of the outfit, not a separate style.

Icon Series outfits that did not vanish

The contrast that makes the six-day record remarkable is the rest of the series. LeBron James (added 12 July 2021), Ariana Grande (4 August 2021) and Bruno Mars (3 February 2022) are Icon Series outfits of the same era that rotate through the shop as ordinary items; none carries a rule, and none has been absent for years. Travis Scott's status is not a property of the Icon label — it is a property of one licence and one window.

Where it sits in the archive

Travis Scott is entry No. 003 on the home ledger and one of the longest-vaulted shop skins in the ranking. Above it sit the outfits that cannot return under a published rule — Black Knight and the Chapter 1 pass rewards, Predator — and the device exclusives such as Galaxy and iKONIK that have never been in the shop. Below it sit the outfits that returned. For the mechanism that separates those groups, the dossier on whether rare Fortnite skins can come back walks through each rule; for the nearest comparison among celebrity outfits, the Lady Gaga dossier records a shop outfit that has been vaulted since April 2025.

Inquiries

When was the Travis Scott skin last in the Fortnite shop?

27 April 2020, per fnbr.co's shop history. It was listed on six consecutive days from 22 April 2020 at 1,500 V-Bucks and has not appeared since — 2,326 days as of 9 September 2026.

Is the Travis Scott skin coming back in 2026?

No listing exists and Epic has announced none. As an Item Shop outfit it can return at any time; the reported early-2027 window is unofficial speculation tied to a possible Fortnite OG rerun, not an Epic date.

How much did the Travis Scott skin cost?

1,500 V-Bucks for the outfit alone in April 2020. At US V-Bucks pack prices since 19 March 2026 that is roughly $18 as two 800-V-Buck packs.

Can I buy an account with the Travis Scott skin?

You can find listings, and every one of them breaks Epic's terms: accounts are non-transferable, and both buyer and seller accounts are banned when a transfer is detected. The archive never links account sellers.

Is Travis Scott the rarest Fortnite skin?

It is the rarest Item Shop outfit by absence, but not the rarest overall. Battle Pass rewards such as Black Knight and Predator are covered by Epic's exclusivity rule and can never return; Travis Scott can.
